Welcome to my personal corner of the Xero website; a sort of coffee-lounge area where you can kick off your shoes, look at my photographs, and listen to me droning on about just about anything that comes to mind. It's only fair to warn visitors that the site contains an indecent amount of childhood reminiscence, and that my scribblings are idiosyncratic, to say the least.

There are also some very bad jokes.

If you're interested in knowing more about the part of England where my family and I live, then take a look at the Somerset section. If you like scenery, the section on Wales may be of interest. And if you're into nature photography, well, there's a Nature section too. Some of these sections are small right now, but are likely to grow in time.

All of the images on this site are deliberately small, in order to minimise bandwidth use and discourage casual plagiarism. If you have a particular need for a higher resolution version of an image, please email me; as long as your intentions are legal, decent, and within the obvious bounds of good taste, I'll be happy to let you have a copy subject to my copyright restrictions.

One last thought: I described this site as a "coffee lounge" in the opening paragraph. Well, the bad news is that you'll have to make your own coffee until such time as the ubiquitous HTTP protocol is able to support the downloading of beverages. Also, if you're really planning to kick off your shoes, please make sure that you're wearing clean socks.
