Somerset

Somerset - for those outside the UK - is in the south-west of England, and is part of what's usually referred to as "The West Country". Kathryn and I are "foreigners" - we both grew up in Leicestershire, in the midlands of England, but Somerset became our adopted home almost twenty years ago. Both of our children were born here, and both consider themselves very lucky to live in this part of England.

The photographs in this section are less easily organised than in the others. At the moment, the best I can manage is one section devoted to England's smallest city, Wells, and its beautiful cathedral; and a separate section called "oddments" devoted to everything else. This does not mean that Somerset is a disorganised or uninteresting county - far from it. It just means I don't have the right photographs to build proper, meaningful sets at the moment.
